BREAKING: JAMB Suspends the use of NIN till 2021

The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB)  on its Twitter handle on Saturday, 11 January, 2020 announced the suspension of the National Identification Number (NIN) in the upcoming 2020 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME) registration scheduled to commerce monday 13th, January, 2020.  Click here on the JAMB 2020 Registration process.

The JAMB registrar Prof. Ishaq Oyelede said the decision was being taken  due to the difficulties faced by students in registering in a press conference held in Abuja. He also added that the decision was made to provide more time for candidates to get their NIN. Candidates should disregard the use of NIN this year till 2021.

  The information of the JAMB twitter handle reads: “NIN is suspended for 2020 registration. Candidates are to only send names to 55019 to create profile. No need for NIN for 2020 registration.”
